Ingredients:

    * 5 medium red onions
    2 tablespoons olive *
    * 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
    * 1 teaspoon salt, kosher
    * 1/4-1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    * 2 pounds green beans or French green beans, trimmed

Preparation:

   1st Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
   2nd Peel onions and cut them lengthwise into quarters.
   3rd Toss onions with 1 tablespoon vinegar, salt and pepper.
   4th On a lightly oiled baking sheet with cooking spray. Roast onions until golden brown, cook for 20 minutes and then lightly sprinkle with water and drive another 20 minutes.
   5th Rinse beans in cold water, drain. Place in bowl with lid and microwave until soft they are, for 4-5 minutes, drain.
   6th Combine roasted onions with steamed green beans, adjust seasonings and serve.
